Personal Statement
My name is Zoey Varela and I play 3rd and 1st for Texas Blaze Premier National and at Claudia Taylor Johnson High School. Last year as a freshman, I was the DP for the varsity team and ended the season with a .388 batting average, a .444 on base percentage, and .612 slugging percentage. I lead my team in doubles and was 3rd in district for doubles. This year my sophomore season stats were .364 batting average, .434 on base percentage, and .500 slugging. Softball has been a huge part of my life. I am a committed student athlete and I want to continue to play in the future at the highest level where I would like to study Sports Psychology.
