Personal Statement
I will admit that I can never be referred to as a "physical specimen," but I play much bigger than I look. When Mark Twain wrote, "It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog," he was referring to me. While I shine brightest behind the dish, as a true utility, there's not a position on the field that I can't cover confidently. Offensively, I can execute the short game as well as I can swing the bat. Being a catcher has helped me to develop a keen eye at the plate where I'm known for working a count and rarely striking out. I am an intelligent baserunner always ready to capitalize on any mistake. My A+ softball IQ is matched by my energy. I believe strongly in the value of a good teammate and a vocal leader and work hard to exemplify both at all times.
