Personal Statement
My name is Sophie Perkins, I’m 5’10” & play MH/RH/OH. I've been playing volleyball since fifth grade & it has changed my life. Volleyball is my passion & has helped boost my confidence; helped keep my grades up & has helped me create lifelong friendships. Cheering on my teammates is the best part of playing this game. It's important to work together and support each other, even if we’re losing. I believe even a loss has its lessons. I pride myself on being a coachable & versatile player b/c it keeps my mind open to new possibilities on & off the court. I’m a player that always gives 110% wherever I’m needed. In the classroom I work hard to maintain a 3.8 GPA and I’d love to pursue a degree in the Health Sciences, working towards a career in Sports Psychology and coaching.
