Personal Statement
I’m a freshman at Liberal Arts and Science Academy (#38 in US News and World Report national rankings). I was named to Extra Innings Softball All-Region Southwest Second Team as a catcher. Along with catching, I play corner infield and shortstop, and was voted a team captain by my teammates. I’m very hardworking on and off the field, and my grades reflect the high quality of work I turn in. However, this does not stop me from getting in reps in my batting cage at home, and I make sure to go to lessons multiple times a week for hitting, fielding, and catching. I’m a part of ASL Club, where we practice ASL and attend/set up ASL socials and meetings. I’m also in Banned Books Club, where we read and discuss banned books.
