Personal Statement
My name is Marissa Mancine from Chicago, IL. I attended Marist high school my freshmen and sophomore year. I recently transferred to Walter Payton College Prep for my remaining years due to financial and transportation reasons. This past summer I worked at "Relish" hotdog stand on Michigan Avenue. I have been playing since I was 9. I have played on competitive levels such as Open and Premier. Recent accolades include JVA Watch list, AVCA Phenom, USAV NTDP training invite and USAV practice regional team this past summer and AAU Academic All-American. This season I won the coveted 34 award. A goal and passion is to continue to play volleyball on the next level in college and continue my education, possibly studying Government or Creative Writing/Journalism.
