Personal Statement
My name is Lillie Schmelz and I live in Eugene, Oregon. I have also lived in Maine and Pennsylvania. Currently, I am a defender for the Eugene Metro Futbol Club 2008 Girls Team (Vantaa United Prem). My strengths on the field are my speed, endurance, long balls, one-twos, and good ball control. I attend South Eugene High School where I am a high-achieving student-athlete and will graduate in 2025 - a year earlier than anticipated. I would like to take a gap semester or year in Europe to play soccer prior to beginning college in 2026. When I am not playing soccer or doing school work, I enjoy reading, baking, and shopping. I am also active in my school’s Letters to Rose Club, where we send letters to residents in retirement and assisted living facilities.
