Personal Statement
My name is Lainey Hughey. I attend Perry Public Schools where I participate in softball, basketball, and track. I started my softball career in 2015, at the age of five. I am the starting shortstop for Epic Premier 2010 Flynn, and starting utility for the Perry Lady Maroons. When I'm not playing sports, I like to work out, write, read, and hang out with friends. One thing about me is that I love to compete. I work to be the best version of myself. I play softball not just because I love to compete, but because I love what I do. I'm always finding something that I need to work on to get better. I am very passionate of softball, and I have many goals that I am working hard to achieve.
