Personal Statement
I am a junior at DeKalb High School in DeKalb, Texas. I rank 4th in my class of 80. I am a right-handed pitcher known for my unique pitching style, where I hide the ball well. I hit 60 mph and hit my spots. I play 1st as my secondary position and I have a big bat; this summer I had 7 hr, 2 triples, 14 doubles, and 44 RBIs.. I play volleyball for my high school and I am involved in my church, serving as a group leader at Vacation Bible School and leading recreation teams at church camp. I am seeking an environment that aligns with my values in faith, academics, and athletics. One of my key goals this past season was limiting walks, and I’m proud to say I walked only 11 batters all summer. My current goal is to increase my speed while maintaining accuracy, aiming for an additional 3-4 mph.
