I've been on SM's varsity basketball team for the last two seasons -- I got called up halfway through my freshman year. And it's because of my basketball coach that I have a future in football. He suggested I give the sport a try. At first it was very uncomfortable because I didn't know what I was doing, but I remember kind of a turning point during a practice when I was falling down but still managed to make a tackle. I realized right then that I might be pretty good. I work hard and my work has paid off. Instead of being uncomfortable, football is fun. For college, I'm looking for a winning culture, where the team is close and bonded and where I can get an education that will give me the best chance at a good life.
