My name is Avyn Hughes. I have a unique name (pronounced Ay-vin), play a unique position (libero/DS), and I am a unique student-athlete. I love playing multiple sports, but volleyball is my favorite! I have quick reflexes, a great serve, good hands, and I can hit from the back row. I am President of the Student Council. I take AP/Honors courses and make excellent grades. I volunteer with numerous organizations in my community. Volleyball has helped shape me into the person I am today. I make goals and work hard to accomplish them. I have learned how to recover after a disappointment. I treat others with respect and kindness. I am disciplined, committed and I NEVER give up.
