Personal Statement
Less than an hour after I was born, my grandpa gave me a softball. It sat in my bassinet with me that day so I could smell the new leather. So, you see, softball has literally been in my life since day one. It’s in my blood. As I’ve gotten older though, I have developed my own relationship with the game. One of appreciation…for the strategy, for the teammates, for the mentors, for the discipline, hard work, and strength it provides. Many say softball is a game of failure, but on the flip side, it is a game of perseverance, of relationships, and of opportunities. I focus every day on continuing to grow my relationship with this game I love and look forward to the next chapter.
